Behind the Booth: Superlon

Behind the Booth: Superlon
Ahead of InstallerSHOW New York 2026, we spoke to Han Liu, Executive Director at Superlon.

Q. Superlon has built a reputation for high-quality insulation materials. How would you describe the company’s evolution and what sets your products apart in such a competitive market?

A. Superlon has evolved on two fronts: our manufacturing technology and our product performance. We’ve continually upgraded machinery, process controls and in-line testing so we can hold tighter tolerances and deliver consistent, installer-friendly insulation.

Q. Can you tell us about any recent innovations or product developments that you’re particularly excited to showcase at InstallerSHOW New York?

A. We’re highlighting Viper, our newest insulation line engineered for demanding outdoor and plantroom environments. Viper combines UV resistance with fire-retardant properties, helping the insulation maintain integrity and appearance in sunlight while contributing to safer system design. The jacket and core work together to resist weathering, and the product’s thermal performance helps HVAC systems run more efficiently.

Q. Sustainability is now central to the conversation in construction and building services. How is Superlon embedding sustainability into its products, manufacturing, or supply chain?

A. Sustainability is both product and process. During the Covid period we upgraded our production facilities, which has allowed us to increase output while consuming less energy per unit – our most efficient operation to date. We prioritise durability (insulation that maintains performance reduces lifetime energy waste) and manufacturing efficiency (reduced scrap, better yield, optimised curing). The goal is straightforward: better thermal performance with a smaller operational footprint.

Q. What are you hoping to gain from your participation in InstallerSHOW New York, and what do you most want visitors to take away from their interaction with Superlon?

A. InstallerSHOW New York is our opportunity to properly introduce Superlon to the US market – especially the Eastern Seaboard – and demonstrate what we can deliver for distributors, OEMs and installers.

We want visitors to leave with three takeaways:

  • Superlon is easy to work with – from samples and specs through to consistent supply
  • Our products, including Viper, bring real-world durability and performance
  • We listen – we adapt quickly to local codes and customer needs.

Come by, handle the samples, and tell us what would make your next installation faster and more reliable.
